GORDON J. FISHER

Gordon Joseph Fisher is a prize winning, internationally acclaimed photographer and graphic designer. Born in Rossland, BC, he attended school in Cheshire, England and Thornhill, Ontario before graduating in Graphic Arts from George Brown College in Toronto.

After being head of an art department for a major engineering company in Vancouver, he began his own company, The Designer's Edge. Also, he was official photographer of EXPO 86. His creativity has enlivened many company brochures and flyers as well as books, especially those on the pulp and paper industry. He still enjoys model and product photography work which has taken him across North America, to Australia and to Europe.

Gordon, my son, has illustrated many of my books, starting with 24 sketches in Excuses, for All Occasions. He can oil paint portraits or create ink cartoons. Lately, he has produced sketches of mansions-to-be from architectural drawings.

His design and graphics are a strong selling point in my grammar and composition text, The Colour of Words, for students over 15 years of age.

Mother, Bernice Lever, says, "Hire Gordon Fisher for excellence in design and photography!"
