- 2009: January, 2 Honourable Mentions in "Open Heart Poetry Competition" by The Ontario Poetry Society.
- February, awarded the title: a Lifetime Member by The Ontario Poetry Society, with Canada wide members, office in Thornhill, Ontario.
- 2008: February 29, Lifetime Achievement Award from the World Poetry Society and Vancouver Public Library, with a "Wise Woman" medal.

- March, 1st Prize & 1 Honourable Mention in the Wm. Henry Drummond Poetry Contest in Spring Pulse Festival, Cobalt, Ontario.
- 2007: October 19 , Surrey International Writers Conference Surrey Board of Trade: SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2007 to Bernice Lever in recognition of your work as a writer and your significant contribution to the community of writers.
- September - Finalist in Burnaby Writers Society 2007 Forty Years contest, poem: "This is not my body".
- 2006: Summer - Honorary Mention in CPA's annual contest, poem: "Sagging"
July - winner in Pandora's Collective,"Summer Dream Festival, poem: "Reunion". - 2005: September - Finalist in Burnaby Writers Society 2005 poetry contest, "Time Is Timeless"
May - Honorary Mention in Spiritual Directions' poetry contest, "Writing Towards the Light", poem: GLOVES. - 2004: January - Honorary Mention in Pandora's Collective's contest,"Hibernating with Words", poem, "Self Slashing".

The Allan Sangster Award for outstanding dedication and service to the Canadian Authors Association Bernice Lever - July: Honorary Mention in Pandora's Collective's " Popsicles and Kisses" contest, poem, "Signature Moves".
- December: Honorary Mention in TOPS "Freedom" contest, poem "Promises".
- 2003 November: First prize in Canadian Poetry Association's 2003 Annual Contest for "Much Left One" which was featured in "Poemata".
- 2003 August: Honorary Mention for her Haiku in The Ontario Poetry Society's "Motion of Metaphor" contest:

- 2000: First Honorary Lifetime member of the Canadian Poetry Society
- 1993: Annual Arts Award for the Town of Richmond Hill, Ontario, for 25 years of volunteer service: mainly with Richvale Writers.
- 1980's: WAVES, Fine Canadian Writing, magazine contributors won 3 National Magazine awards - 3 Firsts for Fiction, and 2 runner-ups for poetry in 5 years. Bernice Lever was the Editor and Publisher from 1972 to 1987.
